Upgrading your water can is a huge deal and saves you a TREMENDOUS amount of time, and if you watch the weather forecast you can do it without losing a day of crop watering. Should I do that, or will a single one do, once I'll have both a barn and coop (and maybe more than one of each), upgraded to have more animals etc. well, not before winter)Īs for cutting things down removing berries and other forageables, I mostly picked the forest farm for the easy access to wood (during my first attempt at playing the game, only the standard one was available, and I was like "300 wood for building a coop, gathering one at a time? Pass, I quit." and stopped playing (I didn't know about cutting down the trees at the time, and thought I'd have to find and whack 300 of those branches you can find on the ground even on the original, first farm).Īnd yeah, bees work just fine, I guess I just got a tad impatient (and I guess got too many flowers then, might go about building more nests, but maybe next year or during winter when there'll be not much else to do - it's Fall for me now, and I'm usually a tad too busy to visit a mine much for ores for it etc., on most days anyway).īTW, I'm thinking about building a second silo, so that I can collect enough hay to last me through winter (well, right now i only have one chicken, but thinking long term). (I'd upgrade the watering can, but I'm not giving it away for two days. Thanks for the info, yeah, haven't upgraded my tools yet, might go about it for the axe at least.
